We have to work together. Clear and open communication. If you are looking for a "yes man" then I am not the designer for you.
This certainly does not mean that I ignore deadlines. But it does mean that I like to properly plan and ensure that we have enough time to get things done on time and most importantly, on target.
If you need your logo, brochure, website, business card, entire branding campaign designed, proofed and delivered in a week, you may need to think about opening up your schedule a bit. There is a difference between tight deadlines and unreasonable deadlines and while I am happy (and excited) to see how I can best serve your design and marketing needs, I most likely have other projects currently in progress which also require my attention.
If you are just price shopping, you don't want to hire me. If you are shopping for a quality partner in the success of your business, we need to talk. I almost never come in as the lowest bidder. But I can tell you I have had countless clients come back to me to fix the poorly designed and implemented projects the lowest bidder did deliver. I won't be offended if you think my project fees are too high. But I hope you give me the chance to explain and show you why they are higher. In short, I do not provide a commodity, I provide a service and the service doesn't stop when the project is complete.
When I take on a new client I am become mentally and emotionally invested. It takes a lot of time and effort to get things to the point that I am ready to share them with you. So while I am more than willing and able to take and act on feedback and constructive criticism, I will need you to be ok with my disagreeing with you from time to time.
